Athens, Greece – Former Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’s book “Ithaca” has been an immediate and huge success, with Gutenberg Publishing House announcing today

that all 33,000 available copies of the book sold out within hours of its release.

The publishing house issued a statement expressing its happiness

and appreciation for this unprecedented response:

Tickets for Alexis Tsipras’s play ‘Ithaca’ sold out in just a few hours!

“We are pleased to announce that 33,000 copies of the book sold out

within the first few hours of its release.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to

our readers for their remarkable interaction and support!

Reprinting of “Ithaca” begins

The announcement confirmed that the publishing house immediately

began the process of reprinting to meet this enormous demand.

Gutenberg pledged to make “every effort possible to ensure

that there is no gap in book availability in libraries across the country in the coming days.”

However, the statement indicated the possibility of a slight delay

in availability due to “unprecedented demand”:

However, if, due to unprecedented demand, there is a slight

delay of one or two days in availability in some locations,

We ask for your patience and understanding in advance.

This great demand for Tsipras’s book reflects the continued

interest in his personality and political experience.

In particular, his time in power was marked by the Greek debt crisis

and arduous negotiations with European creditors.
