London, Britain – Diego Galdino, a young Brazilian delivery man in the British capital, London, turned into a hero after he began confronting thieves and exposing them himself in the city streets.
In light of what he described as “police negligence” in dealing with daily crimes.
Galdino (22 years old) is the son of a Brazilian police officer who moved to London in 2019 and began working with delivery companies.
Due to the escalation of thefts in the central neighborhoods, he decided to document what was happening with his small camera, “Gobro”.
He posted the clips on his account under the name “Pickpocket London”, which have garnered more than 26 million views so far.
Diego would initially call the police upon seeing the thieves carrying out the robberies.
But he soon lost confidence in her intervention, so he began confronting them himself by spraying them with a red paint spray illuminated by ultraviolet rays.
“I would call the police immediately, but they don’t come,” he told the Daily Mail. Thieves are not afraid of anyone. When I spray them with paint, they stop because people recognize them and they can’t steal again.
He explained that the paint used is not permanent, but is removed by washing, but it helps identify and track thieves.
Diego, who grew up in the southern Brazilian city of Curitiba, said growing up in a family of police officers gave him an innate ability to observe criminal behavior.
Days to track down thieves
Diego now devotes two or three days a week to tracking down thieves in addition to his primary work in delivery.
Galdino criticized the Metropolitan Police, saying many of those arrested returned to the street the next day.
Diego confirms, despite his growing fame, that he does not seek the spotlight: “I am a shy person, I do not like to be treated like a star.. My personal account is closed, and I post one photo a year.
