Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Internet searches for vintage fashions from the brand of famous Italian designer Giorgio Armani have increased since his death on Thursday. This surge has been dubbed as Armani fever.

At a time when shoppers frequented used clothing outlets to search for his designs.

Armani, who continued to lead the company that bears his name and was responsible for its designs until his death, was prolific.

His designs included almost everything.

From expensive high-end suits to affordable jeans and sportswear under the Emporio Armani brand.

Armani died on Thursday at the age of 91.

A Vented website spokesperson said searches that included the word (Armani) were nearly three times higher than average on Thursday.

This happened after the news of Armani’s death.

The American luxury clothing resale website The Real reported that searches for Armani designs increased 212 percent on Thursday compared to the previous day.

On the used fashion app Vestier Collective, users from across Europe offered pieces designed by Giorgio Armani for sale.

Including a black silk jacket dating back to the 1990s for 245 pounds sterling ($330.97).

Plus a leather and rabbit fur jacket from 2002 for £571 ($771.36).

Amar Boulay, manager of the luxury used men’s clothing store Che Amar in Paris, said he would not be surprised by the high demand for Armani suits from the 1970s and 1980s.

This is in light of the current trend towards classic designs such as wide pants and flowing fabrics.

Boulay added that 4 or 5 years ago, it was impossible to sell 80s suits.

Now it has become very popular, but impossible to find.
