Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a telephone call from Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

During the call, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint action between the two countries

within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and Serbia,

in addition to discussing a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

Strengthening economic and development partnerships

The call addressed various areas of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the economic, developmental,

renewable energy, and other vital sectors. These areas represent a priority in the development plans of both sides.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President Aleksandar Vučić emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts

to develop bilateral relations and enhance investment opportunities and economic cooperation. This serves mutual interests.

Both sides noted the importance of building upon the achievements in UAE-Serbia relations.

They also affirmed their commitment to expanding the horizons of partnership in a way

that supports economic growth and serves the aspirations of both countries for sustainable development.

Supporting the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President Aleksandar Vučić affirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation

within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries.

This agreement serves as a key platform for advancing trade and investment relations to new levels.

Both sides emphasized the importance of developing sustainable economic partnerships that contribute to increased trade and investment.

These partnerships also open new opportunities for the private sector in both countries,

positively impacting their shared development and prosperity.

Exchange of views on developments in the region

The call also included an exchange of views on a number of regional and international issues,

most notably the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East and its implications for regional security and stability.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President Aleksandar Vučić emphasized the importance

of supporting efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability.

They also stressed the need to prioritize political and diplomatic solutions to address the crises

and challenges facing the region, thereby contributing to peace and development for its people.
