Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Ports Group announced the establishment of an integrated, multimodal land logistics network. It includes dry ports and cargo warehouses connected to the railway network. Including Abu Dhabi Industrial City “ICAD”, affiliated with Kizad Group.
This network will consolidate the position of Khalifa Port and Fujairah Ports as vital gateways to support the UAE’s industrial sector. Enhancing industrial shipping traffic at the local and regional levels.

In support of these efforts, the group concluded memorandums of understanding with four of the largest industrial companies in the Emirates. They are: Emirates International Aluminum Company, Emtel Group, Al Ghurair Iron and Steel Company, and Tenaris Company. To enhance their role and position as major operators of industrial freight within the Group’s land logistics network linked to the railway network.

Connecting ports
This logistics network aims to facilitate the movement of industrial inputs, finished products and strategic goods, and facilitate their flow throughout the Emirates. It will connect Khalifa Port and Fujairah ports with dry land ports connected to the railway network, the city of AICAD, and shipping warehouses spread throughout the Emirates. Providing an integrated logistics platform that supports flows between production sites, internal markets and regional trade corridors.
This network has been developed to enhance the performance of supply chains, providing more reliable flows of raw materials and industrial inputs to manufacturers in the UAE. Providing greater flexibility to distribute finished and semi-finished goods across multiple onshore options and gateways. This enhances the flexibility of trade corridors, reduces reliance on single gateways, and facilitates their access to local and regional markets.

Integrated logistics network
Captain Mohammed Juma Al Shamsi, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, said that the group is looking forward to providing industrial logistics services in the UAE. By establishing this integrated, multimodal land logistics network, supported by national industry leaders.
