Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received His Excellency Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and current regional developments.
Strengthening the strategic partnership
The meeting addressed various aspects of cooperation within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership
and the comprehensive economic partnership between the UAE and India.
Discussions also focused on ways to enhance this partnership to serve
the mutual interests and development priorities of both countries.
Furthermore, the two sides exchanged views on opportunities to expand
cooperation in the economic and investment sectors.
Discussing regional developments
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East
and their repercussions on regional and international security and stability.
It also discussed the impact on international maritime security, energy supplies, and the global economy.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed the attacks targeting civilian infrastructure
in the region and the threat they pose to regional stability.
Affirming solidarity and support
The Indian minister conveyed Narendra Modi’s greetings to the UAE president, affirming his country’s solidarity
with the UAE and its support for all measures taken to protect its security and sovereignty.
For his part, the UAE president reciprocated by conveying his greetings to the Indian prime minister.
He also expressed his wishes for India and its people to achieve further progress and prosperity,
within the framework of the growing historical relations between the two countries.
