Abu Dhabi, UAE – A 1-1 draw was imposed on the match between Khorfakkan and Al Bataeh, which took place at Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium, as part of the 22nd round of the ADNOC Pro League, on Saturday evening.
Al Bataeh opened the scoring at the start of the second half through Alvaro de Oliveira in the 47th minute, before Khorfakkan equalized in the 61st minute through Ailton Felipe.
With this result, Khorfakkan raised its tally to 24 points in ninth place, while Al Bataeh reached 19 points in twelfth place.
The match began evenly, with both teams exchanging attacks. Al Bataeh’s defense successfully thwarted Khorfakkan’s first chance, before the visitors responded with a dangerous shot from Alvaro de Oliveira. Khorfakkan also tried to find the net through Pedro Pavlov, but without success.
The first half witnessed the brilliance of Khorfakkan goalkeeper Ahmed Hamdan, who saved two clear one-on-ones to keep his net clean, while his team almost snatched the lead in the final minutes of the half through two consecutive opportunities.
In the second half, Al Bataeh broke the deadlock early when Alvaro de Oliveira scored the opening goal after a brilliant run and a well-placed shot inside the penalty area. However, Khorfakkan responded quickly, equalizing with a header from Ailton Felipe, who capitalized on a precise cross from Ngossian Kouadio.
In the final minutes, Al Bataeh intensified their attacking efforts in search of a winning goal, but Khorfakkan’s defense and goalkeeper continued to shine, maintaining the draw until the final whistle.
