Sharjah took an early lead through Othman Camara in the 10th minute, after a remarkable individual effort that he finished with a perfect shot that nestled in the net of goalkeeper Fahad Al Dhanhani.

In the second half, Bani Yas managed to equalize in the 51st minute, through an own goal, after Sevior Godion shot a ball that hit defender Yumin Cho and changed direction to end up in the net of goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani.
