Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sharjah FC returned to winning ways after coming from behind to secure a valuable 2-1 victory over Al Wasl. The match took place at Sharjah Stadium as part of the 21st round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Al Wasl started the match strongly, opening the scoring early in the 17th minute through Nicolas Jimenez, who capitalized on a chance inside the penalty area to give his team the lead. The first half ended with the visitors ahead 1-0, in a balanced performance from both sides.
At the start of the second half, Sharjah came out with a different approach and quickly equalized in the 49th minute through Ousmane Camara. Their attacking pressure paid off with a goal that brought the game back to square one.
Sharjah continued their dominance, completing the comeback in the 67th minute when Khalid Al Dhanhani scored the go-ahead goal with a perfectly placed header, capitalizing on a superb cross into the penalty area.

Among the most notable attempts was a dangerous cross in the 79th minute, and a shot from Miguel Borja that went just wide of the post in the 85th minute, but their efforts failed to result in a goal.
In contrast, Sharjah nearly extended their lead. However, Al Wasl goalkeeper Khalid Al Junaibi made a brilliant save to deny Harib Abdullah in the 86th minute.
The final moments of the match were tense, as the referee showed Majid Surour a red card after he received his second yellow card. Sharjah ultimately won the match 2-1.
With this victory, Sharjah raised its points tally to 24, placing them eighth. Meanwhile, Al Wasl’s points remained at 33, keeping them in fifth place.
