Abu Dhabi, UAE – Khorfakkan secured a crucial 2-1 victory over visiting Bani Yas in their match on Sunday evening at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium. This win came as part of the 21st round of the ADNOC Pro League.
The first half ended in a goalless draw, with both sides displaying clear caution, although Khorfakkan enjoyed a slight advantage in possession. However, neither team created any real scoring opportunities. Meanwhile, Bani Yas lacked attacking effectiveness, failing to pose a genuine threat throughout the first half.
With the start of the second half, the pace of the match changed, and Khorfakkan appeared more energetic and dangerous. They succeeded in opening the scoring in the 55th minute through Tariq Tissoudali, then extended their lead with a second goal in the 60th minute through Ailton Felipe.
Despite falling behind, Bani Yas refused to give up, narrowing the gap in the 65th minute with a goal by Al Hassan Koroma after a pass from Youssoufou Nketiah. This goal brought his team back into the game.

In the final moments, tensions rose after the referee showed red cards to Bani Yas player Suhail Al-Noubi and Khorfakkan player Salim Amlah following a clash between them. He then blew the final whistle, confirming Khorfakkan’s 2-1 victory.
With this victory, Khorfakkan raised their points tally to 23, placing them eighth. Meanwhile, Bani Yas remained on 21 points in tenth place.
