Abu Dhabi, Gaza – Operation “The Noble Knight 3”, supported by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, conducted a lottery to select the grooms participating in the “Wedding Dress 2” ceremony.
This was done with wide participation from the people of the Gaza Strip and representatives of local institutions.
Transparent procedures for selecting participants
The draw for the “Wedding Dress 2” initiative took place at the Nuseirat Services Club, with all the nominated couples in attendance.
Each applicant personally placed their name in the draw boxes, a step that enhanced transparency and integrity.
A number of dignitaries, national figures, and representatives of various institutions participated in the draw.
The atmosphere was characterized by strong community engagement.
Thousands of applications and selection according to precise criteria
The “Wedding Dress 2” initiative received approximately 6,644 online applications,
which underwent a rigorous review and screening process,
resulting in the acceptance of 1,991 applicants who met the criteria.
Three hundred brides and grooms were selected from various governorates across the Gaza Strip.
This was done according to the principle of equitable distribution to ensure representation from all regions.
Humanitarian initiatives to revive hope
The “Dress of Joy 2” event is part of a series of humanitarian initiatives aimed at bringing joy
TO the residents of the Gaza Strip amidst the difficult circumstances they are facing.
Preparations for the event are scheduled to be completed this month.
It is expected that this will contribute to easing the burdens on young people and supporting social stability.
