Dubai, UAE – During its annual general meeting, the Indian Business and Professions Council in Dubai affirmed its pivotal role as a catalyst for cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of India. Renewing its commitment to strengthening bilateral economic relations in line with the long-term strategic visions of the two friendly countries.
Siddharth Balachandran, Chairman of the Council, stressed the strength of relations between the two friendly countries. Pointing out that the purpose and importance of the Indian Business and Career Council in Dubai are a fundamental pillar for achieving shared prosperity.
Unified corporate platform
He noted the status of the Indian Business and Career Council in Dubai as a unified corporate platform that continues to empower the Indian business community in the UAE through collaboration, flexibility, and a shared future vision.
The Council announced a year full of exceptional growth and interaction, characterized by a noticeable expansion in its member base and a strong shift towards inclusiveness, especially with increased women’s participation.
Dr. Sahitya Chaturvedi was re-elected for a second term as Secretary-General. Focus group organizers were also elected to lead key sectors of cooperation between the UAE and India. Including health, education, wellness and pharmacy led by Srikumar Pramanandan of Dubai Investments. Financial services and capital markets led by Sunny Narang of HSBC. Technology, digital and innovation led by Kartik Raman of Reef Do, and professional and business services led by James Matthew of UHY James. Real estate and the built environment led by Rajeev Nelfithil of ISPA. Energy and climate led by Advit Thakur, and hospitality and tourism led by Amit Vardhan of Prism Advertising.
In terms of its future plans, the Council looks forward to hosting two major events: the West Asia Business Conference in April 2026. And the Family Business Conference in May 2026, where these two events are expected to strengthen international partnerships.
