Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukraine has categorically denied Iranian claims that one of its anti-drone weapons depots was destroyed inside the United Arab Emirates.
Ukraine asserted that these claims are “baseless” and intended to mislead public opinion amid escalating regional tensions.
Spreading false information
A spokesperson for the Ukraine Foreign Ministry stated that Tehran’s announcement lacked accuracy and credibility.
He emphasized that Kyiv rejects what he termed the “dissemination of false information”
aimed at tarnishing its image and its defense partnerships with countries in the region.
This comes particularly in light of increasing military and technological cooperation with several Gulf states.
Statements attributed to Iranian sources
The Ukrainian denial came in response to statements attributed to Iranian military sources,
which claimed that a site in the UAE, allegedly housing a Ukrainian anti-drone system,
had been targeted as part of operations linked to regional escalation.
Kyiv asserted that such claims are part of what it described as a “war of narratives” aimed at spreading inaccurate information.
It also emphasized its commitment to facts and transparency in its communications with international partners, particularly in the region.
