Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Abu Dhabi Media Office announced that authorities in the emirate responded this morning to a security incident involving debris from a ballistic missile falling on Sweihan Street. The incident occurred after air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed the missile in the air.
The incident resulted in the deaths of two people, one Pakistani and one Indian national, and injuries to three others, one Emirati, one Jordanian, and one Indian national, ranging from serious to moderate. They were immediately transported to hospitals to receive necessary medical treatment. The falling debris also caused material damage to several vehicles in the vicinity of the site.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed that emergency and rescue teams immediately began securing the area and addressing the aftermath of the incident. It urged the public to obtain information only from official sources and to avoid spreading rumors to ensure community safety.
