Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Nataša Berk-Musár, President of Slovenia, during which they discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
This comes amidst the escalating military situation in the region.
Condemnation of the attacks and affirmation of solidarity
During the call, the President of Slovenia condemned the Iranian attacks targeting
the UAE and several other countries in the region.
She also affirmed her country’s full solidarity with the UAE and its support for the measures
the UAE is taking to protect its security, stability, territorial integrity, and the safety of its people.
Slovenia: Fears of repercussions from escalation
The presidents of the UAE and Slovenia discussed the repercussions of the current security situation,
focusing particularly on its impact on regional and international peace and security.
They also addressed its implications for international maritime security and the global economy, amidst ongoing military tensions.
Calling for dialogue and strengthening cooperation
Both sides stressed the need to de-escalate tensions and prioritize diplomatic solutions and dialogue to resolve crises.
They also affirmed their commitment to developing bilateral relations between the UAE and Slovenia and expressed
a genuine desire to strengthen cooperation in a way that serves mutual interests
and supports stability and development in both countries.
