Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of the treacherous and terrorist Iranian attacks that targeted the UAE.

And those who died as a result of these blatant attacks, praying to God Almighty to have mercy on them and grant a speedy recovery to all those injured.

More than 2,000 ballistic missiles

His Highness condemned in the strongest terms the continued treacherous Iranian missile and drone attacks, which have been ongoing for 18 days.

Which amounted to more than 2,000 ballistic missiles, mobile phones and drones, targeting vital civilian facilities, airports, residential areas and civilian sites in the country.

This is a dangerous and blatant escalation that constitutes a flagrant violation of state sovereignty and threatens regional and international security and stability.

His Highness added: “The UAE condemns in the strongest terms this ongoing escalation, which targets the lives of civilians and vital facilities in our country”. These treacherous attacks, which have been ongoing for more than two weeks, have been strongly condemned by the international community, through Security Council Resolution 2817, co-sponsored by 136 UN member states, which calls on Iran to immediately and unconditionally cease these attacks targeting the Gulf states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and affirms its full responsibility for all damages and losses suffered by the affected countries.

His Highness stressed that the UAE reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, national security and territorial integrity, and to ensure the security and safety of its citizens and residents on its territory. Based on her right to self-defense in accordance with the provisions of international law.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stressed that the competent authorities in the country are fully prepared to deal with any threats, and that these attacks will not deter the UAE from protecting its sovereignty, security and stability.

His Highness stressed that the security situation throughout the country is stable, and that readiness levels are at their highest levels, in accordance with systematic professional standards and clear institutional work.

Which instills a feeling of safety and reassurance for everyone living in the UAE.

His Highness also appreciated the support and solidarity of more than 130 countries to the UAE.

Which confirms the confidence of the international community, and the country’s position rooted in decades of responsible diplomatic work, consolidating international partnerships, and supporting regional and international stability.
