Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Defense announced today that its air defense systems successfully dealt with a new Iranian attack that included intercepting 10 ballistic missiles and 45 suicide drones targeting civilian areasand vital facilities in the country, in a continuation of the blatant aggressive escalation pursued by Tehran.

The Ministry revealed statistics on defensive operations since the start of the aggression.
The high efficiency of the UAE’s defenses enabled them to intercept and destroy 314 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,672 drones.
Despite successfully neutralizing most of the threats, these treacherous attacks resulted
in the martyrdom of two brave members of the armed forces while performing their national duty.
Six civilians of Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities also died.
The attacks also resulted in injuries to 157 people of varying degrees. These individuals belong to more than 29 different nationalities,
including citizens and residents of Egypt, Sudan, India, Jordan, Palestine, and other countries.
This reflects the indiscriminate nature of the Iranian targeting.

In its statement, the Ministry of Defense affirmed its full readiness to address any threats.
It emphasized its commitment to resolutely confronting any attempts to destabilize the nation’s security.
The Ministry also reiterated its dedication to safeguarding national sovereignty and protecting the UAE’s vital resources and interests.
It will ensure the safety and security of all residents within its borders in the face of this transnational terrorism.
