Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from King Mohammed VI of Morocco, during which they discussed regional developments and their implications for regional and international security and stability.
Condemnation of Iranian attacks
During the call, the King of Morocco reiterated his condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates and several other countries in the region. He affirmed that these attacks constitute a violation of state sovereignty, international law, and international conventions.
He also emphasized Morocco’s full solidarity with the UAE in confronting these attacks. Furthermore, he affirmed Morocco’s support for all measures taken by the UAE to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.
Emirati thanks for the Moroccan stance
For his part, the President of the UAE expressed his gratitude to the King of Morocco for his country’s supportive stance, emphasizing the deep fraternal ties that bind the two nations. He also stressed their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination on various issues of mutual interest.
Both sides affirmed the importance of continued consultations between their leaderships in light of the developments unfolding in the region.
Call for dialogue and diplomacy
During the call, both sides emphasized the need to prioritize dialogue and diplomatic means in addressing regional issues, thereby contributing to reducing tensions and maintaining regional security and stability.
They clarified that political solutions and constructive dialogue represent the best way to resolve crises. Furthermore, they affirmed that these methods guarantee the safety and stability of the region’s peoples.
