New York, United States – The UAE affirmed that it stands united in defending its territory, its citizens, residents and visitors on its territory in the face of blatant Iranian attacks.
She affirmed her adherence to her inherent right to self-defense.
It also called on the international community to take decisive action to address these violations.
Ambassador Mohammed Abu Shahab, the country’s permanent representative to the United Nations, said in a statement published by the mission’s official account on the “X” platform that over the past four days, Iran has launched indiscriminate attacks with missiles and drones targeting the UAE and other sister countries.
He pointed out that these attacks constitute a flagrant violation of international law, undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and a direct threat to international peace and security.
Abu Shehab stressed that the UAE stands united in defending its lands, citizens, residents and visitors on its land.
He stressed the state’s adherence to its inherent right to self-defense in the face of these attacks.
He also called on the international community to take decisive action to address these violations.
Ambassador Mohammed Abu Shahab concluded the statement by saying: “The permanent missions of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to the United Nations in New York continue to coordinate their efforts intensively with regional and international partners, Security Council members and United Nations officials, to address the current crisis in a way that ensures the maintenance of regional and international security and stability.”
