Dubai, UAE – His Excellency Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajri, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Pharmaceutical Corporation, confirmed that the pharmaceutical sector in the UAE enjoys stability and readiness.
He noted that the strategic stock of medicines and medical supplies is in a safe and sufficient position to meet the needs of the local market.
His Excellency pointed out that the UAE is adopting the best policies and strategies to provide strategic reserves.
To meet the state’s needs for all medicines needed by citizens, residents and visitors in sufficient quantities and for long periods.
He noted that enhancing drug security is a well-established national priority, based on a comprehensive strategic vision aimed at ensuring the sustainable availability, quality, and safety of medicines in all circumstances.
He pointed out that the Foundation works with a proactive approach based on risk analysis and emergency planning, which consolidates readiness and enhances community confidence in the country’s pharmaceutical system.
For her part, Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, Director General of the Emirates Pharmaceutical Corporation, confirmed that the pharmaceutical sector in the country enjoys stability and high readiness.
This ensures the continuity of the provision of medicine and medical supplies while ensuring continuous supply over the long term in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
She pointed out that the Foundation monitors, on a daily basis, in the field, and through joint systems with strategic partners, the movement of medicines and inventory quantities in factories, warehouses, and stores.
To ensure the continued availability of essential medicines and the absence of any shortage of essential items.
She stressed that drug supply chains operate regularly within the country.
Al Kaabi explained that current availability indicators for medical products in the country are recording stable levels.
She is reassured that this reflects the efficiency of advance planning and the effectiveness of partnerships with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, other relevant authorities, and the private sector.
She stressed that drug security is one of the cornerstones of healthcare in the UAE.
She also pointed out that the Foundation has adopted an integrated strategic vision that looks to the future to ensure the sustainability of the drug stock and the readiness of the health sector to face all circumstances.
