Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team held an emergency coordination meeting chaired by His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Head of the Team. The meeting aimed to follow up on current regional developments. Furthermore, they wanted to assess the level of preparedness in vital sectors and business continuity at the concerned authorities.
Enhancing coordination and preparedness
The meeting reviewed a comprehensive analysis of the current situation and its possible scenarios. There was an emphasis on activating round-the-clock monitoring and follow-up mechanisms. Moreover, they focused on enhancing operational coordination between government agencies and strategic partners. This aims to ensure rapid information exchange and accurate decision-making in accordance with best international practices.

The team confirmed that the emirate’s emergency management system operates within a proactive framework based on multi-source risk analysis. There are periodic updates to operational plans and their alignment with new developments. As a result, this ensures the continuity of essential services without interruption, particularly in the energy, health, transportation, food security and communications sectors.

The meeting emphasized the importance of responsible institutional and media communication and the timely provision of accurate information to enhance public trust and curb rumors. It also stressed the readiness of command and control centers, the efficiency of early warning systems and logistical support. Additionally, the review of business continuity plans aims to ensure their integration within a unified framework. This will strengthen the emirate’s resilience and ability to handle various scenarios.
