Abu Dhabi, UAE – The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced on Saturday the implementation of exceptional precautionary measures, including a temporary and partial closure of UAE airspace. This strategic step aims to ensure the safety of air navigation and protect passengers and flight crews. It also aims to guarantee the security of the country’s territory and its airspace sovereignty.
In an official statement, the GCAA confirmed that this decision was taken only after a comprehensive and thorough assessment of current security and operational risks. Furthermore, it was implemented in full coordination with all relevant local and international authorities.

Highlights
  • The safety of UAE airspace is a top priority
