Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Jazira secured a resounding 5-0 victory over Sharjah in their match this evening at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, as part of the 18th round of the UAE Pro League.

Brazilian Bruno de Oliveira opened the scoring in the 20th minute, following a precise pass from Nabil Fekir. Fekir then doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 28th minute.
Faqir was not satisfied with that, as he returned just three minutes later to score his second personal goal and the third for his team with a powerful shot that found the back of Adel Al Hosani’s net.
Before the end of the first half, Felicio Mendes deepened the gap by scoring the fourth goal in the 35th minute, so that the home team finished the first half with a 4-0 lead.
Continued dominance in the second half
In the second half, Al Jazira continued their dominance, with Simon Banzal adding a fifth goal in the 50th minute with a perfectly placed header, confirming the complete control of the match by “The Pride of Abu Dhabi”.

Team standings
With this win, Al Jazira raised their points tally to 31, securing fourth place. Sharjah, meanwhile, remain on 17 points in eleventh place.
Al Jazira also succeeded in scoring five goals against Sharjah for the second time in the history of their encounters in the Professional League, after the first time in February 2012, achieving one of their biggest victories this season.
