Abu Dhabi, UAE – The match between Al Wasl and Shabab Al Ahly ended in a 1-1 draw, in the Dubai derby that opened the 18th round of the ADNOC Pro League, on Wednesday evening at Zabeel Stadium.
Al Wasl took the lead early in the second half through Sergio Pereira in the 48th minute, before Saeed Ezzatallah equalized for Shabab Al Ahly in the 72nd minute. Each team earned a point, bringing Al Wasl’s total to 30 points in fourth place, while Shabab Al Ahly remained top with 42 points.

Al Wasl responded with a dangerous attempt via a header by Soufiane Bouftini in the 30th minute, which Hamad Al Muqbali cleared for a corner kick.
Before the break, Al-Ahly’s youth team almost snatched the lead, taking advantage of a defensive error, but Khaled Al-Sinani saved the situation by blocking Cartabia’s shot.
The pace of the match changed in the second half, with Al Wasl opening the scoring with a goal that featured a distinctive artistic touch from Pereira.
The Al-Ahly youth team coach brought on attacking players, most notably Yuri Cesar and Sardar Azmoun, and the team succeeded in coming back through Ezzatullah in the 72nd minute.
Both teams tried to snatch a winning goal in the remaining minutes, but the score remained unchanged. The Dubai derby ended in a fair draw that reflected the flow of the match.
