Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE has announced it will host the 2028 Artificial Intelligence Summit, following a joint collaboration with Switzerland for the 2027 event in Geneva. This move underscores the UAE’s role as a global hub for technological innovation and a key contributor to shaping responsible AI policies. The announcement was made during the “AI Impact Summit 2026” in New Delhi, India, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM). The summit, held from February 16-20, is part of the UAE’s efforts to support international cooperation in advanced technologies and build strategic partnerships that foster innovation and leverage AI solutions for sustainable development across various vital sectors.
Strengthening international cooperation
His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, affirmed that the UAE leadership, under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is focused on shaping the future of artificial intelligence through constructive international dialogue and the integration of visions among governments, institutions, and decision-makers. This will promote the responsible use of technology and keep pace with global transformations.

The UAE’s leadership of two consecutive summits reflects growing international confidence in the country’s approach, which combines accelerating innovation with establishing responsible regulatory frameworks.
