Abu Dhabi, UAE – In what were described as his most decisive statements yet, prominent US Senator Lindsey Graham delivered a strong rebuke to disinformation platforms. He affirmed the falsity of all the fabricated narratives targeting the UAE and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, personally.
“You are lying”… Testimony from Qasr al-Shati
Following his meeting with His Highness in Abu Dhabi, Graham posted a strongly worded message on the X platform, stating: “To those who are spreading false narratives against the UAE and Mohammed bin Zayed… I say to you: You are lying.”
The US senator revealed details of the meeting, saying: “I met with him today for an hour and a half.” He added: “Not only is he alive, but he is in excellent health and as sharp-minded as I have ever seen him.” He also warned those attacking the UAE of the consequences of their actions.
The UAE’s vision versus the “darkness” of the Ayatollah
Graham praised Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s courage in leading “the biggest change the region has seen in my lifetime.” He noted that the Abraham Accords and the modernization of the UAE while preserving its faith represent “the light” the region should follow. Graham emphasized that President Trump wants a region like the UAE in its openness and prosperity, not one like the “Ayatollah” regime in Iran. He described the Iranian regime as a “Nazi-like theocratic regime.” He further asserted that its continued existence in its current form threatens all opportunities for peace and prosperity, including the Abraham Accords.
Integration with Saudi Vision 2030
Graham expressed his full support for the integration of the UAE’s Vision 2030 and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, considering it the best opportunity in centuries to transform the Middle East. He stated, “Countries in the region must engage with what is happening in the UAE, not simply observe.” Graham concluded by announcing his upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia to meet with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, whom he described as “wise and courageous.” He added that he would continue coordinating efforts on the vision that will forever change the face of the Middle East.
