Sharjah, United Arab Emirates – His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed the signing of a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU)
between the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Sharjah Private Education Authority, the Sharjah Central Finance Department, and Sharjah Islamic Bank.
This took place on the sidelines of the fifth Sharjah International Education Development Summit, held on February 14 and 15 in the emirate.
The MoU aims to establish an integrated model for multi-agency government cooperation.
This will be achieved through the electronic linking of the digital authentication service
for academic certificates issued by the Sharjah Private Education Authority.
The agreement adheres to the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and information security,
supporting the objectives of the Zero Bureaucracy Program and enhancing the efficiency of government performance.
A unified window to complete 3 transactions in one procedure
The agreement enables the provision of a comprehensive suite of digital services through a single window.
This window allows customers to complete three transactions in one process, including the issuance of their academic certificate.
Furthermore, it facilitates its attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its subsequent authentication
by the UAE embassy in the destination country, eliminating the need to visit multiple platforms for each entity.
This integration will reduce transaction time to approximately three minutes,
compared to the previous six working days—three days within the UAE and three days abroad.
Supporting digital transformation and improving customer experience
His Excellency Omar Obaid Al Hassan Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed that
the Ministry is moving forward in expanding its strategic partnerships with government entities and the private sector.
He emphasized that this places people at the heart of service development priorities,
enhancing the quality of life and the nation’s competitiveness.
He explained that the Memorandum of Understanding contributes to accelerating the
digitization of procedures and expanding electronic connectivity and data flow between relevant entities.
This leads to achieving comprehensive and sustainable digital transformation,
elevating customer experience, and increasing satisfaction with government services.
This step embodies the government’s commitment to integrating systems and streamlining transactions. It also reinforces the UAE’s position as a global model in developing digital services and smart governance.
