Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Asia-Pacific Federation of Giftedness and Creativity (APCG) announced that Dubai has been selected to host the next Asian Conference on Giftedness and Creativity in 2028.
This announcement came at the conclusion of the 19th APCG Conference 2026.
The event was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from February 7-11, under the theme “Towards the Future: Vision 2050 for Gifted Education.”
Dubai: A global city of cultures
Dr. Kyung-Bin Park, President of the APCG, affirmed that Dubai’s selection reflects
its status as a global city that embraces diverse cultures and nationalities.
Additionally, Dubai represents a leading model of diversity, openness, and coexistence.
She expressed the Federation’s anticipation of organizing an exceptional edition of the conference in Dubai in 2028.
Dr. Kyung-Bin Park praised the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences,
the organizing body, for its extensive experience in supporting talent and excellence.
The president also commended the emirate’s supportive environment for innovation.
For his part, His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, affirmed
that Dubai hosting of the conference embodies regional appreciation for the pioneering role played
by the UAE in developing educational systems based on discovering and nurturing talent.
This is within an integrated environment that combines effective policies, high-quality initiatives, and institutional partnerships. All of these efforts are supported by the wise leadership.
Advanced Asian platform
He pointed out that the Foundation represents an innovative model in nurturing talent,
relying on expertise and strategic partnerships that contribute to advancing this vital sector.
He also noted that the support and guidance of Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Maktoum,
Supreme President of the Foundation, have contributed to establishing
advanced plans to support gifted students and empower them for future leadership roles.
Al Qatami explained that the conference constitutes an advanced Asian platform
for exchanging experiences and discussing best theoretical and applied practices in the field of gifted education.
Thus, it supports the development of educational models capable of meeting future demands and strengthening the knowledge economy in the region.
