Dubai, UAE – The Emirates Airline Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with «Emirates Auction Company», succeeded in raising 8.8 million dirhams ($2.4 million).
This is to support and develop humanitarian programs dedicated to less fortunate children around the world, in an achievement recorded for the first time.
The auction was held from December 17, 2025 to January 17, 2026, and witnessed wide participation exceeding 900 bids from participants in 131 countries.
Meanwhile, seven rare numbers for membership in the Emirates Skywards «program, including platinum category benefits, were put up for auction.
The highest single bid reached AED 1.6 million during the one-month bidding period.
Two bidders were awarded platinum category membership for 20 years, while five other bidders were awarded 15-year membership.
The major bidders were distributed across a number of countries, including the UAE, the United Kingdom, India, the United States, Pakistan, France, Germany, Egypt, and Thailand, among others.
The proceeds raised will enable the Foundation to launch new projects, in addition to expanding the scope of support provided to children and communities currently benefiting from its existing programs.
This is done in cooperation with 14 non-governmental organizations in nine countries.
It is noteworthy that the Emirates Airlines Charitable Foundation is the charitable and official arm of «Emirates Airlines».
It aims to empower disadvantaged children with education, health care, housing, nutrition and vocational training.
Its activities are funded by donations from Emirates Airlines «operators» and its employees, and it has so far implemented more than 50 humanitarian projects.
