Dubai, UAE – The organizing committee of the Fazza International Athletics Championships for People of Determination announced the “Grand Prix – Dubai 2026”.
Which will start on Tuesday at the Dubai Club for People of Determination, with the participation of 60 male and female players representing the UAE national team in the 17th edition of the tournament.
About 500 male and female players representing 56 countries are participating in the tournament, competing in track competitions over distances of 100, 200, 400, 800, 1,500 and 5,000 metres.
In addition to the long jump, field competitions include shot put, discus, mace and spear throwing, in addition to high jumping.
The Dubai edition is an important milestone in the qualifying tournaments for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
The participating teams increased their readiness to compete.
The UAE national team tested its readiness for the tournament through its recent participation in the West Asian Paralympic Games “Muscat 2026”.
In which athletics topped the list of achievements of the country’s champions, with a total of 9 gold, 12 silver and 16 bronze medals.
The national team players are seeking to achieve qualifying numbers for the Asian Paralympic Games “Japan 2026”.
