The UAE condemns the terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in Islamabad

This crime reflects the seriousness of terrorism and its threat to societies

Abu Dhabi, UAE – The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries among innocent civilians.

This latest crime underscores the gravity of terrorism and its direct threat to the security and stability of societies.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the UAE categorically rejects

all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism, regardless of their motives or justifications.

The UAE also reiterated its firm stance against these criminal acts

that target places of worship and violate the sanctity of innocent lives.

These acts also attempt to undermine security and stability and spread fear among civilians.

The Ministry reiterated the UAE full solidarity with the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in this tragic event.

It emphasized the UAE’s support for Pakistan in its efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.

Furthermore, the UAE seeks to strengthen security and social peace,

and to confront criminal organizations that disregard religious and humanitarian values.

Maintaining Pakistan’s security

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the victims

and to the Pakistani government, wishing a speedy recovery to all those injured.

It also affirmed the UAE support for all efforts aimed at preserving security and stability in Pakistan and the region.

This stance is consistent with the UAE steadfast policy of rejecting terrorism and extremism,

and its call for promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence among peoples.

The UAE is committed to protecting places of worship from any criminal attacks, considering them symbols of peace and humanity.

Abu Dhabi also stressed the importance of intensifying regional

and international efforts to confront the threat of terrorism and to dry up its intellectual and financial sources.

Furthermore, it highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation

among nations to protect societies from this scourge that threatens international peace and security.
