Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, presented His Excellency Santiago Peña Palacios, President of the Republic of Paraguay, with the World Government Award for the Most Developed Governments, one of the highest awards given during the World Government Summit 2026, held in Dubai from February 3 to 5, with high-level international participation.

The award ceremony was attended by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and a number of sheikhs, ministers, senior officials, heads of state and their representatives participating in the World Government Summit 2026.

The World Government Awards celebrate countries that set advanced global standards in governance quality, transparency, sustainable development, and digital transformation, based on a selection of international indicators that measure economic progress, institutional effectiveness, public policy quality, and the capacity for innovation and sustainability.
