Doha, Qatar – Mohammed Shehab, the star of the UAE snooker team, qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2026 Asian Men’s Snooker Championship.
Which is currently being held at the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation Academy in Doha.
This came after his victory over Pakistani Rana Irfan, 4-3, in the round of 16.
The UAE national team is participating in the tournament, which continues until February 6, with four players:
They are Mohammed Shihab and Khaled Al Kamali in the men’s category, and Saif Al Zaabi and Suhail Al Zaabi in the under 21 category.
In the quarter-finals, Shehab will face Indian player Pankaj Advani, who in turn qualified after defeating Qatari Ahmed Saif with a score of 4-1.
In the same round, Khaled Al-Kamali exited the tournament after losing to Iranian Shahin Sabzi 0-4 in the round of 16.
In the under-21 category, Suhail Al Zaabi achieved an exciting victory over Chan Lan Yap from Hong Kong with a score of 3-2.
While his teammate Saif Al Zaabi lost to Iranian Armin Jawaheri with a score of 1-3.
