Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, received today His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah, Minister of Defense of the sisterly State of Kuwait, who is on a working visit to the UAE,
during which he will participate in the activities of the “UAE and Kuwait… Brothers Forever” week, which begins tomorrow and continues for a week in various emirates of the country.
The Kuwaiti Minister of Defense conveyed to His Highness the President of the State the greetings of his brother,
His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the sisterly State of Kuwait,
and his wishes for the UAE to continue to progress and prosper.
UAE’s participation in Kuwait’s celebrations
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed his greetings and congratulations to
His Highness the Emir of the State of Kuwait on the occasion of Kuwait’s celebration of its National Days, wishing him continued health and happiness,
and for Kuwait and its brotherly people further development and growth under his wise leadership.
His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sabah expressed his thanks and appreciation
to His Highness the President of the State for the warm welcome,
praising the brotherly Emirati participation in Kuwait’s national celebrations,
and the deep-rooted relations that unite the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
Strengthening security and stability
During the meeting, which took place at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, the two sides discussed the strong fraternal relations between the UAE and Kuwait,
the paths of cooperation and joint work, and ways to enhance them in various fields
in order to serve mutual interests and achieve the aspirations of the two peoples for development and prosperity.
The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the region,
a number of regional and international issues of common interest,
and efforts to enhance regional security and stability.
The meeting was attended by a number of sheikhs, ministers and senior officials,
while on the Kuwaiti side it was attended by an official delegation
that included Her Excellency Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works,
and a number of senior officials in the sisterly State of Kuwait.
