— ADSportsTV (@ADSportsTV) January 28, 2026 Al Dhafra asserted their dominance in the first half with greater possession and dangerous attacking attempts, while Sharjah tried to contain the momentum without any real goals, ending the first half without any goals.
With the start of the second half, Sharjah’s offensive performance improved and they threatened the goal with several opportunities that were saved by Al Dhafra goalkeeper Amjad Al Sayed, who then made a mistake by tripping Luan Pereira inside the area, so the referee awarded a penalty kick, but the goalkeeper corrected his mistake and saved the shot.
Despite Al Dhafra’s attempt to respond offensively, Sharjah snatched the lead in the 81st minute with a header from Luan Pereira after a cross from Hareb Abdullah, before Pereira returned and set up the second goal for Saul Guarirababa in the 90+2 minute, to seal the victory for Sharjah.
