Abu Dhabi, UAE – Khorfakkan achieved a valuable away victory against Al Wasl with a score of 1-0, in the match that brought them together at Zabeel Stadium as part of the 14th round of the UAE League.
The only goal of the match came early through Moroccan Tariq Tissoudali in the 18th minute, after he capitalized on his team’s relentless pressure on the home side’s goal, giving Khorfakkan the advantage that lasted until the final whistle.

Al Wasl tried to come back and almost equalized in the 37th minute, but Khorfakkan goalkeeper Ahmed Al Hosani made a brilliant double save, preserving his team’s lead.
In the second half, Al Wasl intensified their attacking efforts, and the 50th minute saw a controversial moment when the referee awarded a penalty to the home side and showed a red card to Khorfakkan defender Abdullah Al Rifai. He then reversed both decisions after consulting VAR.
The attempts continued without any change to the score, allowing Khorfakkan to maintain their lead and secure an important victory that raised their points tally to 15, placing them tenth. Meanwhile, Al Wasl’s points remained at 25, keeping them in fourth place.
