Abu Dhabi, UAE – The organizing committee of the International Sailing Show Jumping Championship announced the launch of its ninth edition during the period from 20 to 25 January.
The event is sponsored by Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy, President of the Abu Dhabi Women’s Club and Al Ain Women’s Club, and owner and founder of Al Sheraa Stables.
She explained in a statement that the tournament, scheduled to be held at Al Forsan International Sports Resort, will involve 150 male and female knights and 350 horses, from around the world, to compete for a total prize pool of 700,000 euros.
Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that the tournament includes various competitions in the 4-star categories, in addition to two stars, young horses, riders under 25 years old, juniors and children, the Hexted Speed Sailing Derby, and the Longines Sailing Award in the four-star category, and is held in two rounds.
