Dubai, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, today inaugurated the 27th edition of Intersec 2026, the world’s leading event for security, safety, fire protection, and emergency response. The event is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre until January 14.
This year’s exhibition features over 1,200 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, with expectations of attracting over 50,000 specialized visitors from around the world. A packed program of conferences and events will also be held, featuring more than 250 international experts and speakers. The exhibition space spans approximately 65,000 square meters, reflecting the growing international interest in the event.
The event constitutes a strategic platform
His Highness was accompanied on his tour by a number of senior officials, including Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Civil Defence.
Also part of the delegation were Dr. Abdullah Busnad, Director General of Dubai Customs,
and Major General Awad Hadher Al Muhairi, Deputy Chief of the Dubai State Security Service.
Mishal Julfar, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and Khalifa Ibrahim Al Seles,
Executive Director of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), also joined the delegation.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed affirmed that Intersec reflects Dubai’s prominent position as an international hub for developing security and safety systems.
He noted that the event serves as a strategic platform bringing together government and private entities, decision-makers, and global experts.
Its aim is to showcase the latest innovations and advanced solutions in this vital sector.

During the tour, His Highness was briefed on the most advanced technologies offered by the companies.
These included smart monitoring solutions, advanced communication systems,
and digital applications for risk management.

Intersec 2026 highlights five key sectors: national security and policing, cybersecurity,
commercial and perimeter security, fire and rescue, and health and safety.
It offers a comprehensive vision of how governments and organizations can enhance their preparedness
against physical and digital threats, thereby supporting community security according to the highest international standards.
