Abu Dhabi, UAE – Etihad Airways carried 22.4 million passengers in 2025, a 21% year-on-year increase.
Supported by continued demand and capacity growth across its growing global network.
According to a press release issued by the tanker, the seat occupancy rate last year reached 88.3%, an increase of two percentage points compared to 2024.
Reflecting strong business performance throughout the year.
The company concluded 2025 with a strong performance.
It carried 2.2 million passengers last December, an increase of 28% compared to the same month in 2024.
The seat occupancy rate for this month reached 87.6%, maintaining high utilization rates during the peak travel season at the end of the year.
Etihad Airways’ fleet reached 127 aircraft at the end of the year, after adding 29 aircraft during 2025.
It is the largest annual expansion in the company’s history.
This growth included the introduction of the Airbus A321LR aircraft.
This has expanded the range of distinguished services provided by the Union to include a greater number of short- and medium-haul flights, and supported the continued expansion of its flight network.
According to the carrier, Etihad Airways’ growth in 2025 accounted for nearly 40% of the UAE’s total passenger growth.
This is based on the expected growth recorded in air traffic throughout the country.
