Dubai, UAE – Retired English football star, entrepreneur and content creator Rio Ferdinand reviewed his experience moving from a global icon in stadiums to an influential figure in the media and entrepreneurship.

Ferdinand confirmed that he moved to reside in the Emirate of Dubai six months ago because of its security and stability.

This reflects positively on psychological stability and stimulates creativity and systematic thinking.

He explained that this stability forms the basis for any person seeking to achieve major professional and creative achievements.

This came during a session entitled “From Stadium to Goal” as part of the activities of the fourth edition of the Billion Followers Summit 2026, the largest global summit in the content industry economy.

It was organized by the UAE Government Media Office over a period of 3 days and concludes its work today under the slogan “Purposeful Content”.

The session was moderated by British content creator Simon Squibb, who last year won the Summit of a Billion Followers award, worth one million dollars.

Which is the largest and most expensive international award for creators of purposeful content.

Squibb pointed out that Dubai is today a favorite destination for entrepreneurs in various fields, and a major supporter of ambitions and dreams.

Rio Ferdinand, the retired Manchester United star, revealed his fears after being away from the field.

He said: “I was worried that only my sporting achievement would remain in people’s memories, and this would not have satisfied my ambition”.

He stressed that always setting new challenges for oneself is the key to self-development and not being satisfied with previous achievements.

He added that failure is a natural part of the path to success.

He pointed out that his move to the media after retirement was a well-thought-out step, which he began by establishing a private media company.

And then deliver content via digital platforms.

Rio also reviewed his experience in humanitarian work.

He referred to his charitable foundation, which he founded ten years ago, which provides education to about 20,000 students and provides job opportunities for young people.

He also stressed that making a positive impact on people’s lives enhances a person’s sense of satisfaction and psychological balance.

Regarding marketing via digital platforms, Rio Ferdinand stressed that success depends on continuous and effective communication with the public.

While ensuring attractive design, precision in details, and choosing influential advertising messages amid the accelerating noise of digital content.

The session also hosted a podcast owner who provides specialized football content.

He presented to the audience his ambitious project and his vision for its development.

During the session, Simon Squibb announced a £20,000 grant to support the young man in developing his project.

Ferdinand stressed the importance of supporting the new generation of content creators and enabling them to transform their ideas into impactful, realistic projects.
