Abu Dhabi, UAE – Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, reiterated his categorical denial of the renewed claims. These claims suggested he was prevented by the United Arab Emirates from traveling or participating in the meetings taking place in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

Highlights
  • Stirring up trouble and creating tensions
  • Priority is given to dialogue

He stressed that these claims are completely unfounded and are not based on any real facts.

Al-Bahsani explained, in a statement published on the “X” platform, within the context of what was raised during the past few days. He mentioned that his delay in attending was due exclusively to emergency health circumstances.

He had officially informed His Excellency, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the members of the Council, and our brothers in the Arab Coalition. This includes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

And he emphasized that the position of these brotherly nations was understanding and supportive.

Stirring up trouble and creating tensions

He stressed that dragging the name of the UAE into such rumors falls within attempts to mislead public opinion.

It aims to stir up confusion and create tensions that do not serve Hadhramaut or the nation. Moreover, it does not contribute to the political efforts currently being made to contain disputes and promote stability.

Al-Bahsani stressed his full and renewed welcome of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s call for South-South dialogue.

He considered this invitation to be an important opportunity to reorganize the southern house. It is to address the problems in a spirit of responsibility and partnership, away from media or field escalation.

Priority is given to dialogue

He pointed out that Hadramawt is going through a sensitive period that requires a rational, national discourse.

This discourse must prioritize the interests of citizens and preserve the security and stability of the governorate. It is vital to prevent it from being drawn into conflicts or sharp political polarization.

Al-Bahsani concluded by affirming his unwavering commitment to working within the Presidential Leadership Council in a spirit of teamwork. He also expressed his support for all regional and international efforts aimed at consolidating stability and fulfilling the people’s aspirations for security and development. Furthermore, he called on the media and activists to exercise accuracy. They should avoid being swayed by rumors or exploiting them for narrow political purposes.
