Al Ain, UAE – The first day of the 6th UAE National Mixed Martial Arts Championship, organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, kicked off today, Saturday, at the UAE University Sports Hall in Al Ain.
The event, held amidst an enthusiastic atmosphere and with wide participation from male and female athletes representing clubs and academies across the UAE, marked the start of the new sports season.
The opening day featured intense matches. They reflected the advanced technical skills and high level of physical and mental readiness of the athletes.
The professional organization of the championship contributed to providing an ideal environment for competition. It showcased outstanding performances from the very beginning.
And the championship aligns with the Federation’s vision of establishing a sustainable competitive framework.
Developing national talents
This contributes to developing national talent and raising quality of performance across all age groups.
The first day’s competitions were divided into the following categories: Junior D (10-11 years), C (12-13 years), and B (14-15 years).
This provided an important opportunity to assess the players’ levels within the Federation’s developmental system.

His Excellency Abdulmonem Al Sayed Mohammed Al Hashemi, President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, affirmed that the championship represents a pivotal technical evaluation point at the start of the sports season.

For her part, Taj Nasr, a player from the ADMA Academy and winner of first place in the Junior B category (under 67 kg), expressed her happiness with the achievement.

The championship competitions are scheduled to continue tomorrow with the completion of the matches. This phase will start with the Youth A (16-17 years) and Senior (18 years and above) categories.
