Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – The UAE Olympic national football team will open its campaign in the Asian Cup on Wednesday by facing its Qatari counterpart at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The national team is competing in the continental championship in Group Two, alongside Qatar, Syria, and Japan.
The seventh edition of the tournament will be held from January 7 to 25.
With the participation of 16 teams distributed into 4 groups.
The Olympic national team qualified to participate in the tournament finals among the top 4 teams that finished second in the qualifying round.
This is for the ninth group.
Yesterday, the team conducted its first training session after arriving in Jeddah, led by technical director Marcelo Broli.
