Dubai, UAE – The UAE is preparing to welcome the New Year 2026 with an unprecedented festive scene.
It features exceptional fire and light shows extending from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah.
To paint a global picture of joy and dazzle, and confirm the country’s status as the capital of major celebrations and safe and dazzling events.
The Al Wathba area in Abu Dhabi is witnessing one of the largest New Year celebrations in the country and the region.
The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival has put the finishing touches on an exceptional festive programme, combining the longest and largest fireworks displays with the world’s largest drone displays.
In addition to heritage and cultural events with the participation of state pavilions, sponsors and strategic partners.
The festival presents an unprecedented fireworks display that lasts for more than an hour, and includes an attempt to set five new Guinness World Records.
This takes place over 5 time stages starting at 8 pm, and culminating at midnight with a continuous main show lasting 62 minutes.
It will use the latest launch and optical synchronization technologies to cover the sky of Al Wathba with an exceptional scene.
Festival visitors are also awaiting a huge display of drones, with 6,500 aircraft participating in one 20-minute sortie, forming nine giant artistic paintings that will be displayed for the first time in the world.
This is in visual harmony with the countdown and fireworks.

Fantasy shows in Dubai
In Dubai, the emirate’s sky sparkles with more than 48 fireworks displays distributed across 40 locations, under the supervision of the Security Industry Regulatory Authority and in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
To allow the emirate’s residents and visitors to enjoy various celebrations in the most prominent tourist and entertainment attractions.
Locations include Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Frame, Expo City Dubai, Global Village, Bluewaters, Al Seef and Dubai Festival City.
In addition to Hatta, Atlantis, The Palm, Marsa Al Arab, and other destinations.
In this context, the Dubai Shopping Festival will witness the largest narrative air show of drones in the region.
It will be displayed on Bluewaters Island and ”The Beach – GBR”, with brighter and faster aircraft and innovative formations supported by fiery effects.

Ras Al Khaimah dazzles the world
The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is preparing to dazzle the world with the largest show in its history.
This is done through an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record, extending along 6 kilometers from Coral Island to Al Hamra Island.
The 15-minute show combines advanced fireworks, illuminated drones, and laser technology.
With the participation of more than 2,300 aircraft, the largest fireworks shell ever was launched at midnight.

Fireworks in Sharjah
For its part, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority “Shurooq” announced a comprehensive celebration program in cooperation with the Trade and Tourism Development Authority.
The program includes ten-minute fireworks displays at Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Hira Beach, and Khorfakkan Beach.
In addition to six diverse festive destinations, including Al Noor Island and Maliha National Park.
The events will take place on Wednesday evening, December 31, 2025, starting at 8:00 PM, in a free atmosphere open to the public.
The emirate’s sky is decorated with joyful shows that welcome the new year with a spirit of joy and meeting.

The New Year’s Eve celebrations extend to Ajman, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain through global events that combine visual dazzle, cultural diversity and the highest safety standards.
