Women’s competitions begin in the UAE Open Sakton Shooting Cup for the GCC countries

Women's competitions begin in the UAE Open Sakton Shooting Cup for the GCC countries

Al Ain, UAE – On Saturday, the women’s competitions in the UAE Open Cup for “Sitcon” shooting for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries began at Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club.

Which is organized by the Office of Weapons and Hazardous Materials during the period from 20 to 24 December.

The organizing committee confirmed in a statement that the first day of competitions for women has been approved, and that the men’s qualifiers will be held from December 21 to 23.

This is to select the top 30 results from the total number of participants to qualify for the finals scheduled for December 24.

She explained that the finalists will compete for the golden symbol and a cash prize of 100,000 dirhams for first place, 40,000 dirhams for the silver symbol for the second place winner, and 30,000 dirhams for the bronze symbol for the third place winner.

In addition to cash prizes of 10,000 dirhams for each winner from fourth to tenth place.

She noted that the tournament contributes to enhancing the spread of safe shooting, raising the level of competition, and establishing the highest organizational and technical standards.

The committee praised the great turnout of participants from outside the UAE to register through the website dedicated to the tournament.

In addition to ensuring that instructions regarding safety procedures are implemented, and that licensed personal weapons are delivered at the designated outlets.
