Abu Dhabi, UAE – In line with the UAE’s longstanding humanitarian commitment to supporting its Arab brethren, the “Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship” set sail from Khalifa Port (KIZAD) in Abu Dhabi. It is bound for El Arish Port in Egypt, carrying over 10 million meals, totaling 7,249 tons, to aid the people of the Gaza Strip.
Strategic support within “The Noble Knight”
This massive initiative comes in cooperation with Operation Noble Knight. It is part of the campaign launched by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation on November 25th. The ship aims to provide urgent food aid and alleviate the suffering of Palestinian families in light of the current difficult conditions in the Gaza Strip.
Relief timetable
The organizers of the initiative reported that the ship’s loading operations proceeded according to schedule to ensure the aid arrives as quickly as possible. The ship is expected to reach El Arish port in early January. Coordination procedures will begin immediately to facilitate the entry of this vital aid into the Gaza Strip and its distribution to those in need.
