Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, met with Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration
and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, on Saturday, on the sidelines of the Sir Bani Yas Forum.
The meeting addressed prospects for strengthening the distinguished bilateral relations
between the two brotherly countries and building on the positive momentum witnessed in various fields,
in light of the deep-rooted ties and strategic partnership that unite the two leaderships and peoples.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional issues and files of common interest.
Foremost among these are the Palestinian issue, the situation in the West Bank,
and the implementation of the second phase of President Trump’s peace plan in the Gaza Strip.
In addition to developments in Sudan and the ongoing coordination
within the Quartet framework, and the situations in Yemen, Syria and Libya.
The two ministers agreed on the importance of continuing coordination
and consultation to support efforts to achieve security and stability in the region and to strengthen joint Arab action.
