Abu Dhabi, UAE – The organizing committee of the Etihad Airways Formula 1 Grand Prix announced that the “Master’s Historic Racing” series has joined the Yas Marina Circuit for the first time.

It brings with it a group of famous Formula 1 cars from the era of 3-liter engines to participate in the final round program of the season.

The final races will be held over the course of Saturday and Sunday.

This participation comes as an official support race during the global event.

It gives fans a rare opportunity to see these historic cars return to competition on one of the most prominent motorsport platforms in the world.

The Masters of Racing Legends collection presents cars from the period between 1966–1985 through two races celebrating the history of motorsport.

It includes pioneering cars in “ground effect” technology, and classic cars powered by the DFV engine, the famous Cosworth engine.

Along with some of the most influential designs in Formula 1 history.

This year’s network of racers also includes well-known international names, including former Formula 1 winner Thierry Botsin, Jean Mardenborough, who took the podium in the Le Mans race, French commentator who became driver Julien Vibro, and European Endurance Series (ELMS) champion Oliver James Webb, and 2013 World Amateur Grand Touring Car Endurance (GTE Am) Champion Stuart Hall.
