14 weights for men and women in the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Judo

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The Organizing Committee of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Judo Championship announced the approval of 14 competitions for men and women over 3 days from November 28 to 30.

The tournament is organized by the Emirates Judo Federation, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee.

With the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the supervision of the International Federation.

It will witness the distribution of 56 medals, including 14 gold for the top finishers, 14 silver for the men’s and women’s categories, and 28 bronze for the third and fourth place finishers.

In addition to points added to the qualification tally for the upcoming Olympic Games.

Men compete in 7 weights: under 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100 kg, and over 100 kg.

While the women’s competitions also witness 7 weights under “48, 52, 57, 63, and 70 kg, and under and over 78 kg”.

The organizing committee explained that the preliminary round qualifiers will be held in the (Mubadala Arena) hall, in Abu Dhabi, during the morning period on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays on 3 grounds, leading to the final rounds and the coronation.

She said that the draw will be held on Thursday afternoon, via video technology, marking the start of the tournament with the participation of the world’s ranked elite.

In addition to our national team, for a total prize pool of 154,000 euros.
