Sharjah, United Arab Emirates – Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed the launch of the global series Forum «Sharjah, Future Station: Healthcare».
The first edition begins with a main theme on innovation in healthcare, at the complex’s headquarters.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Ruler of Sharjah was briefed on the «Boston Jewels Medical District» plan and the hospitals, centers, institutes and laboratories it will include that will provide health care using the best methods and standards.
He also listened to an explanation about the project and its contribution to the field of medical studies and research in general and to cancer diseases in particular.
The Ruler of Sharjah signed a copy of the international journal «Nature», which issued an exclusive edition to highlight the first research report entitled «Sharjah Next: Healthcare».

His Highness witnessed a dialogue session in which Dr. Magdi Yacoub, global cardiothoracic surgeon and director of the Magdi Yacoub Heart Research Institute in the United Kingdom, Dr. Hamid Obaid Al Shamsi, CEO of the Burjeel Oncology Institute, and Dr. Vladimir Ivkovic, Director of Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, spoke.
Dr. Magdi Yacoub pointed out that there are common factors between heart disease and tumors.
